My name is Lisa Baindu Gobio-Thomas. I completed my bachelors degree, BEng Electronics & Electrical Engineering (2.1) and my Master's degree in Environmental Science: Management & Legislation at Brunel University. I then worked for a few years in the sustainability field before completing my MRes Built Environment: Management & Legislation at UCL Energy Institute. After this, I worked as a Project Officer at a bio-energy organisation in Brussels, Belgium where I attended climate change and renewable energy meetings at the European Parliament and wrote reports about EU climate change and renewable energy policies. I'm particularly proud of writing an Energy, Water & Food Nexus case study for the United Nations Food & Agriculture Organisation (FAO) on the sustainability of a bio-ethanol organisation in South Africa which was published on page 72 of the FAO report titled "Walking the Nexus Talk: Assessing the Water-Energy-Food Nexus". I'm currently a doctoral researcher at Brunel University where I'm undertaking my PhD research on the environmental and economic impact of the Sundial solar thermal technology. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling and experiencing new cultures.
