Mahmoud Mehranian is an entomologist and toxicologist in Iran. He has a Ph.D. in physiology and toxicology from Tabriz University, where he studied the mechanisms used for gene silencing of insects. Before Tabriz, he earned his Master of agricultural entomology from the Science and Research University, Iran. He currently works as a lecturer at Technical and Vocational University. He served at the plant protection department of Tabriz University as a researcher. His current research interests include molecular genetics and their physiological roles in insects and biomaterials.
