Dr. M. Vinod Kumar is working as an Associate professor in Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, India, with a total of 12 years of academic experience. There are 70 publications in all, which include international and national journals as well as conferences and also published 2 Indian Patent. Current fields of research include hybrid fibre reinforced concrete, retrofitting of structures, hollow core, bubble deck and sandwich composite slabs and application of machine learning approach in concrete elements. Guided totally 19 B.Tech projects, 17 M.Tech thesis and currently guiding 6 Ph.D. research scholars. Awarded the prize for secured First Rank in the M.E Structural Engineering Degree Examinations at the convocation. Awarded as an Achiever of the Year in the Faculty of Civil Engineering in the year 2012. Awarded for Good Academic Research Publications for the years 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21. Research Advisory Committee member for many research scholars. Active member for many Professional Bodies, Reviewer and Member of Editorial Board for many reputed journals around the world. Provided invited expert talk for 6 training programmes. Submitted 3 research proposals and 2 proposals for organizing events. Totally organized 3 International Conferences, 8 Seminars and 4 Software Training Programmes.
