Prof. dr. Adnan SÖZEN was born in Ankara in 1965 and has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. He completed his Master's and Doctorate studies at Gazi University, Department of Mechanical Engineering. Deputy Director of Gazi University Institute of Science and Technology in 1994-1995, Head of Energy Systems Engineering Department of G.U. He served as a Member of the Senate and a Member of the University Board of Directors. According to WoS data, 170 of them are published in SCI/SCI-Exp comprehensive international journals. He has 350 scientific studies. His works have been cited over 7000 times and his index is 42. According to Google academic data, its index is 49. He has directed 40 PhD and 60 master's theses. In the AD Scientific Index World Scientists Ranking in 2021, 2022 and 2023, he is FIRST in the field of Engineering and Technology, as well as in the field of Industrial and Production Engineering at Gazi University, and is in the top 100 in the world ranking. His fields of study are renewable energy technologies, Nanofluids, heating/cooling systems, energy management, performance evaluation, energy and environmental efficiency, artificial intelligence applications. DANIDA has completed a 5 Million DKK project on District Heating/Cooling in Turkey, supported by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is an editor in scientific journals and a referee for nearly 200 journals within the scope of SCI.
